Kasing Lung

Profile
Kasing is a children’s book illustrator living in Belgium. He started his collaboration with How2work by publishing a Chinese illustrated story book and a series of collectible figures in 2011. His first illustrated book in Chinese, My Little Planet, was published in Taiwan in 2013. In 2014, he was invited by the publisher De Eenhoorn to collaborate with renowned storybook writer Brigitte Minne on a children’s illustrated book Lizzy Wil Dansen, published in Belgium. The book was well received in the market and was subsequently translated into various languages and distributed across Europe and Asia.
Kasing believes that the idea of fairies and elves first originated from Nordic myths and legends. They have been popular subjects in European folklore and literature for centuries and are regarded as one of the core European cultural values. With such beliefs and background, in 2015 he started creating “The Monsters” story series in Chinese, each named “THE PUCA STORY”, “PATO AND THE GIRL”, and “MIRO’S REQUIEM”. The vinyl figure series of “The Monsters” was first launched in 2015 by How2work. The adorable character “Labubu” has received an overwhelming response from fans and was released in over 300 different colors, styles, and sizes.
Since 2016, Kasing has been focusing more on painting and drawing, enjoying expressing his favorite subjects in the art world.
