Kasper Sonne was born in 1974 in Copenhagen, Denmark, and currently lives and works in New York. After graduating with a BA from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture, Design and Conservation, Sonne began his solo career in 2002 and has since exhibited across Copenhagen, New York, Paris, London, Mexico City, Basel, Stockholm, and Brussels. Sonne’s conceptual practice centers on the juxtaposition and interplay of conflicting dichotomies, utilizing medium and process methods themselves as a way to explore opposing themes such as creation and destruction, perfection and imperfection, and control and chance.
